A Moment In The Life of Me

Recently I received email from LinkedIn professional network that one of my colleagues endorsed me for a skill. In other comments I saw that that collegue is also connected to the other collegue that I know. So I sent a request to that collegue. It encouraged me to update my profile on LinkedIn especially interests. Among other interests I wanted to add mountaineering, but I wasn’t sure what to add, hiking or mountaineering. So I searched YouTube to see the major differences. One of the results was Appalachian Trail Thru Hike http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fd4ROg5Q18Q&feature=related very nice video.

One of users comments was „Dude,  the music to this is awesome. What is it? Also, great video!“.

Indeed it was.

“A Moment in the Life…

artist: Dax Johnson

album: The Random and the Purpose

Thank you”

I was interested in a song. I tried to find it, of course on YouTube. There were several videos but without the artist or a picture of him. On Google I found out that the correct name of the song is  “Moment in the Life of Me” from the album The Random and the Purpose – Dax Johnson. I also found out the David Nevue blog: http://davidnevue.blogspot.com/2005/11/in-memory-of-dax-johnson.html

who wrote:

“THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2005

In Memory of Dax Johnson…

On the morning of November 23rd – just three days ago now – I found out that a very dear friend of mine, pianist Dax Johnson, had died.”

Then I saw pictures on blog.

Dax Johnson, March 29th,1975 – November 23rd,2005

I couldn’t believe that he died so young. Why? How did he die? I didn’t find any explanations of Dax’s death in David’s blog. The next link was Christopher “Dax” Johnson obituary: http://genforum.genealogy.com/johnson/messages/28234.html . He’s name was Christopher. Finally I found out link to a newspaper “The Spokesman Review”  that reported about Dax Johnson’s death, on November 29th,2005: http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2005/nov/29/pianist-songwriter-dax-johnson-dies/. His sister,  Jessica Johnson, said the cause of his death was “unintentional overdose”. So sad.

Wait a minute! What date is it today?  Its November 23rd, 2012 – seven year memorial!

I was stoned and thought that this was not a coincidence. So I shared a link of his song on my Facebook profile. I don’t have many friends there, so I was touched that one of my friends who has many friends, shared my link on her profile.

Rest In Peace.

In my LinkedIn profile I added “Hiking”.
